Gorgeous Fashionista and How to Dress for a Sale

What do you wear when you go shopping, especially during a sale? My buddy who is a shopping expert gave me a few tips.

1. Always wear a bra with detachable straps in case the outfit you are trying on needs to go with strapless bras.

2. Always wear a blouse and a skirt. In case there is a long queue at the changing room, you can hide behind a rack of clothes and pull on the pants or skirt there :D

I looked around for fashionable people to see what they wear when they’re out shopping. Guess what? I found 32-year-old Adelynn Tan, who works as a Theatre Actress.

Not only does she look like a supermodel with legs that go on forever, she dresses like one as well. Adelynn is wearing a layered black over white blouse and black shorts. I picked her out of the crowd because her accessories are so eye-catching, I couldn’t have missed her if I tried!

Neon green and purple baubles. Doesn’t it make you feel like eating her necklaces?

Black and yellow heels makes me think of Adelynn as a yellow canary, fluttering about TANGS.

Striped handbag with neon green trimmings finishes her look. I couldn’t have not picked her out of the crowd if I tried.

I asked Adelynn, if she were a fashion accessory, what would she be? She said without hesitation,

“I would be a bright plastic bangle! I’ve been collecting bangles since I was 12. I have more than 250 of them in my collection. Bangles are a great way to add a touch of elegance to any outfit, it makes a huge difference to your entire look.”

You know what? I totally agree with her. The only accessory I am wearing right now is a pearl bangle, and some kitchen equipment, haha.

So, what about you, what do you like to wear when you go shopping? And why do you wear that? Any tips and strategies on how to dress for shopping during a sale?

Oh you still awake! good…keep on going…
Ya I like her simplicty but her necklace too big lah. The shoe too bright. I never like bright colours. And I am wondering whether the shoe is comfortable for hours of sales hunting…mmm

Oh I like sales. I will normally wear sandals, so I can easily try on shoes, will wear a easy to pull of top and easy to take of pants/skirt so I can try clothes faster.
During sales time, don’t bring baby along, she will slow you down. lolz. In the end will shop less! I wish to visit Tangs for the sales. Is Tangs in Pavillion KL having sales too?!

Hmm… good idea to wear slip-on sandals. But I don’t like sandals all that much, prefer covered shoes. I thought Adelynn look great in her outfit. A pop of color in an elegant black and white styole

when out bargain hunting i always wear a tank top and leggings under my “main” outfit, so that i can decently strip in public should the queue for the fitting room be insane. and flat shoes, of course ;) i would never wear what i wore today to ‘go into battle’.

    SOLDIER ON, HILLARY!!

Haha, “go into battle” is the right phrase for sale shopping. So glad to see you commenting here Adelynn. Good ideas to wear the leggings and tank top, you are a wonder find. And thank you for coming back when I called you on the phone.
